Extended Innovation is a subsidiary
of NetSol Technologies Inc.,
(NASDAQ:NTWK) which is a public listed company in USA.
Extended Innovation ("EI" for short) is the business
name given by the NetSol Group to Innovation
Group-NetSol Joint Venture (Pvt) Ltd for
distinction.
EI is based in Lahore to take the
best advantage of the lower cost base and high education
standards inherent in Pakistan. Formed in January 2005,
it immediately began hiring quality staff and now has
120 employees. These employees are solely dedicated to
supporting Innovation Group solutions and Innovation
Group customers. In March 2005 EI’s resources were
trained on the Innovation Group’s Insurance Design
Studio Solutions (Aurora and Geniq) by the Innovation
Group’s trainers. EI now has its own trainer who has
been trained by the Innovation Group on its Tools /
Technologies. The EI staff is trained in the support,
maintenance and testing of Innovation Group’s solutions.
By providing alternative skilled resources at a lower
price, the demand for the core experts will become a
differentiated skill set for which EI will charge a
premium price from its
customers. |

| InfraStructure |

EI is headquartered within the NetSol IT Village. This custom built development campus along with the essential support and recreational
facilities has been declared as a “Software Technology Park” by the Pakistan Software Export Board. EI has dedicated halls with sitting capacity of 140+ resources, executive offices and state-of-the-art meeting /conferencing and presentation
facilities.
The EI Infrastructure provided at the IT Village includes the following:
Internet Connectivity: A
dedicated 4MB line in addition to Fibre Optic Connectivity has started from the last quarter of 2004. EI maintains its own dedicated 2MB link in addition to
this.
Communication Infrastructure:
IP-based video conferencing and landline
telephony for onsite-offsite client team
coordination.
Contingency and Disaster Recovery:
An offsite location in Australia has been created for any kind of eventuality should the main centre be rendered unusable. Power supply at the main centre as well as the offsite location have inbuilt redundancies. |

| Extended Innovation - What is in the name? |
|
The name EI was chosen because of
the Innovation Group embracing the “Extended Enterprise”
operation model. Meaning by that EI is positioned as an
office extension of the Innovation Group customers’
sites. It will always act like another office location
of The Innovation Group to increase their collaboration
EI follows the
same communication standards, using the same network
infrastructure and produce documents in the same
templates as those of Innovation Group as well as CMMi
standards. It also makes extensive use of IP telephony
and IP video-conferencing to ensure real-time
conversation, so face-to-face video contact is never a
problem |
